Shalom not only has a special name, but he is an affair of the heart for Bonhomme Stud Farm. He isn’t only maternal half brother of our Sandro Song, but he is also his paternal great grandson. With Shalom, Bonhomme Stud Farm wants to preserve the proven blood and secure the genes of son and heir, Sandro Song, who unfortunately died in 2011. He appears in a top modern look, large-framed and is gifted with the very best quality of movements.
By finishing the 70-day test in Marbach with success, Shalom received finally the approval to breed in 2014. Here, he convinced with his strong willingness to work, scoring 9.0 – “very good”.
<His sire Sir Donnerhall I could reach an optimum of success already at young age. He was second reserve Champion at the Oldenburg licensing in Vechta in 2003 and won the 70-day test in Adelheidsdorf with a record dressage index on 163 points in 2005. After winning the title 2005’ Oldenburg Champion, he won the qualifier at the World Championships for young dressage horses in Verden with a score of 9.2, becoming Vice World Champion in the end. Just a bit later, he won the Bundeschampionat of five-year old dressage horses. In the meantime, more than 90 sons of Sir Donnerhall I were licensed, including champion stallions at the Southern German licensing in 2008 named Sir Nymphenburg and, in 2009, named Sir Shivago. In 2008 Sir Donnerhall I dominated FN’s estimated breeding value statistics for dressage.
When bred to different sires, the dam Antenne II delivered first-class sport horses, e.g. Rohdiamant-son Roger, who was part of the winning horse team of the American Boyd Exell, when he took gold in the carriage driving class at the WC in Lexington/Kentucky.
The granddam Antenne was an internationally successful show jumper with Georg Ahlmann. Shalom represents the Hanoverian dam line 125/Amtseiche (by Amato-Navarra etc.). This line is also known for the licensed stallions Lancaster H (private stallion Baden-Wuerttemberg, stallion performance test winner), Lord Lancer (private stallion Rhld, int. successful in show jumping with Jessica Kürten (IRL)), Ramin (state stud sire Marbach), Restorator (state stud sire. Neustadt/D.; int. successful in show jumping with Siegmar Ströhmer), Rowdy (private stallion Westph.) and Sternkönig (private stallion Holst.).
