Sire Flipper d’Elle was one of the most successful sport horses of the 2000s for many years under the French rider Laurent Goffinet. The Selle Francais stallion competed for France at the 2005 European Championships in San Patrignano and the 2006 World Equestrian Games. The sporting dream couple also won the Grand Prix in Chantilly and the Nations Cups in Dublin, St. Gallen and Rotterdam. Flipper d’Elle also became very popular as a sire. In 1999 Calvaro Z moved to the legendary Whitaker brothers in Great Britain. He first took part in the World and European Championships with Michael before competing under John at the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000. Used extensively in breeding, Calvaro Z established himself as an significant sire with important offspring, such as team silver winner at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky Katchina Mail/Patrice Delaveau as well as international figureheads such as Cadeau Z/Jessica Kürten, Callas Sitte/Christina Liebherr and Chester Z/Mathijs van Asten.
Lys de Darmen, in the third generation, was created by mating an Anglo-Arabian stallion with a Selle Francais mare. With his offspring, who have often achieved success at the highest sporting level, Lys de Darmen has had a particularly great influence on Belgian show jumping horse breeding, which is so successful today.
