Description

Iron Man van de Padenborre is a world star in top international sport. He shines both through his own exceptional sporting qualities, demonstrated at the highest international level, and through his resounding hereditary strength. Under the Belgian Olympic rider Gregory Wathelet, he celebrated numerous international CSI5* top successes over 1.60m, such as the victory with the Belgian team in the Nations Cup final in Barcelona 2022. Iron Man van de Padenborre also shone with victories in the 5* Global Champions Tour legs from London, Rome and Paris.

Iron Man van de Padenborre is characterized by extremely powerful jumping, natural caution and absolute cleverness on the jump. Powerfully constructed, this beautiful stallion impresses with lots of blood and sporting spirit. At the age of seven, the Belgian Horse Breeding Association (BWP) awarded him the title “Elite” because of his remarkable hereditary skills. Iron Man van de Padborre’s foals are characterized by beauty, strength and size. His offspring are now successful even in top international sports at 5* level. His son VDL Groep Nino du Roton, 1.60m successful under Leopold van Asten, placed in the Allianz Prize of the CSIO5* Aachen in 2024. Iron Man daughter Innisfree shines with international successes over 1.55 m under Pieter Devos and Cian O’Connor. In addition to a large number of internationally successful sport horses, Iron Man van de Padenborre has already produced five licensed sons.

Sire Darco is a legend of jumping sport and international show jumping horse breeding. As Ludo Philippaerts’ top horse, Darco shone in 1992, coming 7th in the individual ranking at the Olympic Games in Barcelona. For years, the dream duo Darco and Ludo Philippaerts, whose career was significantly influenced by this exceptional stallion, jumped from success to success. Numerous victories in Grand Prix, World Cup stages as well as participation in European and World Championships as well as in the World Cup final shaped the picture-perfect career of this couple. In terms of breeding, Darco immortalized himself with an almost endless list of internationally successful offspring. The renowned breeding website Horse Telex lists an impressive 200+ successful Darco offspring at 1.60m alone. For many years, Darco was the undisputed leader of the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH) jumping horse sire rankings.

Dam sire Chin Chin, 6th in the individual ranking at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul under the Mexican Jaime Azcarraga, also draws attention to himself with a large number of internationally highly successful offspring. Among others, the VDL Groep Eureka, which has been successful at 5* level under Olympic rider Maikel van der Vleuten (NED), VDL Zapatero and Arezzo VDL/Jessica Kürten (IRE) and Gin Chin van het Lindenhof/Geir Gulliksen (NOR), shone as their father’s sporting heritage.

In the third generation, the Selle Francais stallion Fantastique completes the pedigree of Iron Man van de Padenborre. Fantastique is a son of the legendary Ibrahim, who is, among other things, the father of the famous stallion and Zangersheider founding stallion Almé Z and thus manifested himself in the pedigrees of globally successful sires such as Baloubet du Rouet, Guidam, Quidam de Revel and Nabab de Reve. Fantastique was considered an outstanding sire of his time, known for passing on strength, health and willingness to perform.

Iron Man van de Padenborre comes from a globally important Belgian dam line, the BWP Prestatiestam 21, which produced countless successful show jumpers at the highest international level. His mother Dirka van de Padenborre produced with the licensed full brother Ho Go van de Padenborre/Dennis Lynch (IRE) and Olympic van de Padenborre by Baloubet du Rouet/Jordy van Massenhove (BEL) two more 1.60m successful offspring. Seven other offspring shine with international sporting successes in the show jumping course. Grandmother Jessica 1 van de Padenborre gave birth to the 1.60m successful Toronto van de Padenborre/Juan Carlos Garcia (ESP) and another six S-successful offspring.
