Norman was grandseigneur among the stallions of Bonhomme Stud Farm and, as last living offspring of his sire Nimmerdor, he unfortunately died at the age of 29 in 2012. Even in the old age he had not lost in his unique charisma and beauty. Noble as a thoroughbred, embodying glamour and charm, he caught the viewer’s eye again and again. In his youth he was at the jump in a class of his own, was highly successful under Franke Sloothaak and became a television star through jumping over “Volvos” on Eurosport. He inherits resoundingly this fantastic ability combined with exemplary rideability and the best character to his offspring. Many of them were successful in show-jumping up to advanced (S) level.
The Holstein characterized sire Nimmerdor, who himself competed successfully in international show jumping, combines the best Holstein and Dutch genes. For years Nimmerdor has belonged to the most esteemed jumper-makers in the Netherlands where he was nominated KWPN Stallion of the Century in the year 2000. Especially through his son Heartbreaker, Nimmerdor has been immortalized in the pedigrees of many international top athletes. Furthermore, he proved the quality of his genes with licensed sons such as Nekton, Night and Day, Newton, Norton L, Nimrod and many others.
In the maternal line of the dam Mary, a halfbred mare, you can find the Holstein sire Amor, whom was built a memorial by Dutch breeders. Mary originates from the NL breeding family 002, which is also known for the licensed stallions Arko/Nick Skelton (GBR), Blue Velvet N (private stallion Rhld.), Rincon Zeus (ARG),What’s in a Name, Lurioso, Modjo and Rajko (all private stallions in NL).
