Description

Successful at the highest level, long-legged, blood-influenced, ultra-modern, and strong in inheritance – Fire and Ice embodies the ideal type of a top athlete.

Fire and Ice J celebrated countless top achievements under U25 rider Leonie Böckmann, including successes up to S***** (1.60 m) show jumping. The pair competed successfully in numerous international Grand Prix events and achieved top placements at the German Championships in Balve. Introduced to the sport by her father Gilbert Böckmann, Leonie developed this stallion—equipped with great heart and fighting spirit—from youngster tours to international top-level sport.

Fire and Ice not only makes a strong mark in sport but also attracts attention through his offspring. They impress particularly with their ultra-modern type, scope, and rideability. His progeny—Pucara Tilcara (Harald Boisset, FRA), First Fidelity (Lisa Nooren, NED), Flo Jo, and Four Roses (both Leonie Böckmann, GER)—are currently achieving top results in international Youngster Tours. Moreover, with his daughter Climate Change (Austin O’Connor, IRE), Fire and Ice has also produced a successful eventing horse at CCI3* level.

His sire, For Contest, is a son of the two-time Olympic champion For Pleasure. In 2008, For Contest excelled as the champion stallion of his licensing in Münster-Handorf. He then stood as a state stud stallion in Warendorf. In addition to two licensed sons, he sired numerous internationally successful show jumpers, such as the 1.60 m-winning Mill Creek Filippa K (Marcus Ehning, GER).

The dam’s sire, Coronino, comes from the legendary Holsteiner line 730 B and was a premium stallion and show jumping winner of his stallion performance test (HLP) in 1999. Following multiple victories and placements in A to M-level young horse competitions, he achieved success up to the German Classics 2007 in Hanover. Coronino is also the dam’s sire of Corrado, Camsa, Coconut S, and the licensed stallion Contifex (Denis Lynch, IRE).

The great-grandsire Lados won bronze at the Bundeschampionat finals and secured numerous victories and placements in S** (1.45 m) show jumping competitions. Nearly 30 of his offspring followed in his footsteps, competing at the highest level. In the fourth generation, the Hanoverian stallion Wunderlich combines Wedekind and Waidmannsdank xx, two bloodlines highly esteemed for their toughness and exceptional jumping ability.

Fire and Ice’s dam, Cracker Jane, is an outstanding producer. Her breeding record includes five licensed sons and five internationally successful S-level offspring. Among them are:

  • The 1.50 m international show jumper Westfalia L (Aleksandra Kierznowska, POL)
  • The licensed and 1.45 m international show jumper Eminem J (Claudia Gisler, SUI)
  • His 1.40 m-winning full sister and state premium mare Enya J (Huberta Vahle, GER)
  • The licensed and 1.40 m-successful Dominator’s Fire (Laurenz Buhl, GER)
